R&B
IGO 21
The problem
Taylor Bryce, a specialist timber frame erector were
contracted to build a 70m long nursing home building
on a very tight site with no access to the sides or
the rear elevation.
The solution
R&B sited a IGO21 at the front of the building
allowing all timber frame panel, floor cassette and
roof trusses to be installed from one side. Due to
the length of the building R&B returned to site
halfway through the project to fold down and reposition
the crane.
The result
By siting on sleepers on type 1 sub- base we kept
costs to a minimum, Taylor Bryce saved 4 weeks on
the build programme and acheived a 30% cost saving
when compared to their mobile crane budget.
